Exciting news!!! Turtle Beach Resort is now a "Favorite Place on Google! The resort was one of the most popular local businesses on Google. It is fantastic news to be so popular. The resort is filled up with happy Labor Day weekend guests, sunning and relaxing near the pool and in their private patios. August on Siesta Key at Turtle Beach Resort and Inn.. the dolphins pass by several times a day.. most of our guests have seen the very rarely sighted manatees: swimming quietly in a pod. ... mother, father babies... playing in the saltwater bay and lagoon...
The sunsets are amazing. The beach and pool will cool you off from the summer heat... guests are relaxing in the hammocks, while watching this serene natural view.
One boat captain remarked this week.. I have never seen this end of the island, and it looks just like Thailand!

Our Turtle Beach Resort offers you a beautiful oasis of 10 cottages, each with beautiful views of the bay and their very own large private hot tubs tucked away in their own courtyards. I had planned this mini vacation for just the two of us, and so glad I did! We had the most relaxing and romantic time possible. To imagine only 3 hours from our home, was this little quiet, beautiful oasis hidden away from it all! We woke up and had a wonderful breakfast out on our patio watching the sunrise each morning, then continued the day enjoying the canoes to the "Secret Beach" and swimming in the pool. Wonderful dinners at nearby restaurants, "Miguel's" and "Bella Roma" were very delicious and inexpensive. We could not have ask for more. Thank you to the staff for being so delightful and informative. We will be back!

We came to your resort with intentions of having a relaxing and fun time for our family vacation, and boy, did we ever. The kids loved the sand play area, fishing and canoes. The local beaches are soooo beautiful and everyone so friendly on the island. We ate a great lunch at "Turtle's Restaurant", but cooked most of our meals in our cottage. The "Montego Bay" was so beautifully decorated, loved the hot tub at night and the beautiful views and sunrise! What a beautiful piece of paradise you have here. Thanks too, for welcoming our dog "Coco". He loved chasing the geckos and running on the sandbars around the resort. We hope to return next year!

We have guests from our waterfront units out on the dock fishing, sunbathing, kayaking and even trying out the new water bikes. Its extremely relaxing, picture laying in one of our hammocks overlooking the bay just relaxed reading a good book or how about throwing some hamburgers/hot dogs on the gas grill for lunch, and then taking a swim in the pool with the kids. There is so much to do at our resort, its amazing. Definitely, something for everybody, whether your a couple, or a family with children and pets. Turtle Beach Resort is the ultimate place to spend some time and just get away from the everyday stresses of life, and to be honest that's why I 'm here. A little bit of something special- paradise
Ophelia's restaurant next door is fabulous. We canoed to a private beach- great fun. Cycled until we got tired. We only had one night which was not enough to soak up this laid back resort. We'll just have to come back for a longer stay next time!

It's so lovely today, clear blue skies, sun beaming off of the bay waters. Just absolutely gorgeous! We have guests from our waterfront units out on the dock fishing, sunbathing, kayaking and even trying out the new water bikes. Its extremely relaxing, picture laying in one of our hammocks overlooking the bay just relaxed reading a good book or how about throwing some hamburgers/hot dogs on the gas grill for lunch, and then taking a swim in the pool with the kids. There is so much to do at our resort, its amazing. Definitely, something for everybody, whether your a couple, or a family with children and pets. Turtle Beach Resort is the ultimate place to spend some time and just get away from the everyday stresses of life, and to be honest that's why I 'm here. Greetings from warm, sunny Florida! It is an absolutely gorgeous day here at Turtle Beach Resort...the weather has been in the high 70's-low 80's, sunny and calm. Perfect beach weather and being only a short 3-4 minute walking distance from Turtle Beach, how could one resist? Not only is the weather beautiful but it's absolutely peaceful and quiet here. A great time to lazily lay in one of our hammocks near the water's edge or dangle your feet over the docks and cast a fishing line in. Be sure to watch for dolphins too! It was a beautiful, peaceful day here at Turtle Beach Resort. The weather has been back to "normal", high 70's and sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky! We just received news last night that we, Turtle Beach Resort, have been awarded a very large honor. The 2008 Frommers Guide awarded Turtle Beach Resort a 3-star rating! We cannot express how delighted and honored we are to have received the highest rating possible from Frommers. With that said, we are the only place in Sarasota that has received the highest rating with the exception of the Ritz Carlton. We are so excited by this news and very proud that all of our hard work has not gone unnoticed. Today has turned out to be a beautiful day here at Turtle Beach Resort...a little on the windy side but temps in the low 70's...much more comfortable than the low 60's we experienced just yesterday! It may not be quite the right weather for taking out one of our canoes or kayaks but it's definitely nice enough to sit on the end of one of our many private fishing docks and casting a reel in. You never know...you may just catch your dinner for the evening! The sunsets have been absolutely gorgeous lately too. You can either take a very short walk over to Turtle Beach for a good view or sit with your sweetheart on our upper level sun deck at the new Inn. Our most recent guests can hardly believe how peaceful and tranquil the resort is. Even if we are full, you will still feel like the only one here...it's like your own private oasis, what more could you ask for?! Don't be fooled by this slightly cooler weather we've experienced the last couple of days either...we are expecting the temps to reach back up into the 80's in the next few days. A far cry from the winter storms going on up north! Time for a vacation anyone??

Greetings from Turtle Beach Resort! It couldn't be a more gorgeous Monday...the weather is spectacular, perfectly clear blue skies and temperature in the low 70's. Charlie, our resident blue heron, stopped by for a visit this morning, taking a few sips of water from the pool. It's always a blessing to see Charlie come by for a visit! Little Sarasota Bay appears to be nice and calm, great kayaking and canoe day. Today would be the perfect day to keep your eyes peeled for some frolicking dolphins in the bay or the lagoon. It's a beautiful Saturday here at Turtle Beach Resort! The morning started off windy, cloudy and a bit on the chilly side but now the sky is clear and blue and the sun is shining down it's welcomed warmth. What started out as a not so pretty day has now turned into an absolutely gorgeous one. Just yesterday the staff here at Turtle Beach Resort got to enjoy the sight of a dolphin swimming just 100 feet off our docks in the bay, chasing mullet! We had some delightful guests from NY take off for their first kayaking adventure to go enjoy the sunset on the private, secluded beach just at the end of the island. This truly is the place to come for a quiet, relaxing getaway!

Today is Sunday, still 85 degrees in Siesta Key, ten deg. above average the last few weeks and wonderful breezy, balmy weather... if you stay at Turtle Beach Resort don't miss the amazing Sunday brunch you can walk to at the nearby waterfront restaurant. You sit on the water's edge, get breakfast or lunch and that includes a mimosa, bloody mary or cosmopolitan all for approx. $8.95! the best value in Sarasota.... and you can see the dolphins swim by....also on Sunday before sunset anyone in the area should go to the main Siesta Beach to see the unique "drum circle" only on Sundays before sunsets.. this one will be amazing with the full moon!! Drummers with bongos, belly dancers, locals and tourists... it is a sight to see.. and you don't have to drive 10 hours to Key West!

We had a great honeymoon at Turtle Beach Resort. The "cottage" atmosphere was much more hospitable than staying in a large hotel. The canoe ride to the "private" beach was very enjoyable.
